Via Laurene is a poet, singer/songwriter, and fiction writer born in Delaware, Ohio. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in English with honors and a minor in Creative Writing. She has received awards for both her poetry and fiction stories. Her biggest inspirations for writing come from nature, animals (especially her obsession with wolves), and the effort to make sense of human emotions. She also advocates for the causes she cares about through her writing, a big one being mental health. Her style has been described as surreal, dreamy, and sensual. When she isn't running around in the woods or howling at the moon, you can find her creating music, supporting the local music and arts scene, volunteering with Walking Wild Fox Rescue and Dog Sanctuary, or watching horror movies with her cat, Spectra.
